TO THE BEACH

Taman Selera is one of the oldest recreational park situated at Brighton Beach, Miri. Yes, it's also named Brighton Beach and it's in Miri. The park is our favourite ' outdoor classroom' - there are children's playground, outdoor facilities for stretching exercises, lots of benches for sitting, huts for resting, barbeque area and a long stretch of beach ending at Tanjong Lobang cliffs. That's where we went to do our studies in the theme 'The Sea'. The weather was cool but the sea was rough ~ huge crashing against the rocks and the beach. The children were in awe - looking at the waves and the sounds of the waves crashing in!
Yes, NO SWIMMING !
The beautiful trees lining the beach and providing us with lots of shade and materials for our studies.
The sunset at Brighton Beach, when the sea is calm. Beautiful photo from Lawrence Tan.
The teachers are pointing out the sea and waves. Later, they looked at the beach, sand and other things found on the beach.
Hey, I saw a crab !

Resting after the walk.

Writing in the sand.
Collecting things on the beach.
Look what we found!Junior 1 with teachers and parents.
Here's Junior 2 - writing on the sand, and .........

Now, what did we see on the beach? Any ships out in the sea?Emmm, where do I start? So many things to write and draw!
Recording the things they saw at the sea and found on the beach. These are some of the things found on the beach. Look at the drawings of the waves!
