Astana Concert Preparation

Our concert is this Sunday, 11 October 2015.  This year our theme is 'Beautiful Sarawak' whereby we try to showcase the many different ethnic groups living in Sarawak.  Miri alone has about 20 different ethnic groups.  Our performances include a local Malay Sarawak song, dances from the 'highlands' - Kenyah & Kayan, Melanau, Bidayuh, Iban and Chinese and Indian dances.  We have been practicing the dances but these dances are quite difficult for the children to master but they are trying their best to learn.  Anyway, we find the children performances during the practice very entertaining! We hope their parents will enjoy them as much as we did!

There are so many things to prepare and Alhamdulillah , with our parents' help and support, we got a lot of things done.  Parents helped in making the costumes, some of the props and the things we need to decorate the stage.  Thank you to our parents for your help, support and contribution.

Concert Preparation 2012

 Our concert theme for this year is 'Astana On The Go' -  its all about transportation and people who are involved in it such as cars, buses, trains, aeroplanes, boats,  sailors, pilots, etc.  The concert was held in Dewan Suarah, Miri.  These photos showed the teachers and parents (and their children)  working together to make the back drop of the stage.
