Take
your children spend time with them doing activities such as sight
seeing, the mountains, lake sides, camping etc and come back do a
project; which tree does this leaf belong to? You are studying the creations
of Allah. Children remember these things it will build bonds between
you. You may not find it interesting but your children do. Take them
with you when you travel to conferences so that they get in the habit that we travel to seek knowledge.
Teach your children cleanliness ~ no man wants an unhygienic smelling woman and no woman wants an unhygienic smelling man. A Muslim is clean and not dirty and smelly.
Do not curse your children and make duaa against them. And he mentioned a hadith from the Messenger of Allaah narrated by Jabir bin Abdullaah, do not make du'aa against your selves and your children lest it coincides with an hour in which Allaah grants your du'aa Allaahul must'aan!
