New Parents- Welcome To 2013 School Session

Saturday, 5 January

Thank you to all of you for coming to "Get 2 Know Us and The School' program.   We look forward  ~  to work together with you to help your children progress and to draw out the potential in your children, for your support and involvement in your child's learning in the school. We hope that all of you understand the importance of early childhood for your child's growth and development.  As you get to know the school and the teachers, we hope  that you have taken the time to get to know each other as well.  You are always welcome to talk to the teachers regarding your child or the school.

Some reminders: 

1.  Please send your child to school every day,  unless he/she is sick.  Learning is a continuous progress and   next day learning will follow today's learning.   Be on time !

2.  The red bag must be brought to school every day -  the reading modules, library books, red file, reading log MUST be kept in the red bag.

3.  Food and drinks MUST NOT be kept in the red bag.  

4.  Read to or with your child every day.  Read the reading modules every day, a little at a time but be consistent.  Support your child's learning and please remember reading programs are NOT reading tests!

5.  Read out every thing, every where any time - eg. road signs, names of shops, car plate license numbers, menu, logo, and so many more.

6.  Pack nutritious food, some fruits, water or juice for your child. 

7.  Read letters or notes, emails from the class teachers and messages on notice board.

8.  Make a habit of bringing a book for your child when you go out with your child. 

9.  Always have TIME for your child!  Your child will be a child only ONCE and you cannot reverse back these times - SAVOR  these times and moments.  Make your child's learning a happy time, fill with fun, joy and lots of love -  with YOU!

10. Always make doa for your child !

Meanwhile, in the kitchen and outside  - the teachers were busy getting the food and drinks ready.

 Informing the parents of the school objectives, methodology, curriculum, rules, routines, and so forth.  Then the parents were invited to visit the classrooms and to get to know the class teachers.
