Hari Raya di Persatuan Melayu Miri

Majlis Ramah Mesra Persatuan Melayu Miri 18 Ogos 2013 di Bangunan Persatuan Melayu Miri.  Tadika Astana telah di jemput untuk membuat persembahan  di majlis ini.  Enam belas orang kanak-kanak dari Junior 3 telah di pilih untuk tujuan ini.

Yang DiPertua  PMM Dato Haji Wan Morshidi bin Tuanku Abdul Rahman memberi kata-kata aluan.

Kumpulan Gamelan Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang menyerikan majlis dengan persembahan mereka.

Sebahagian dari tetamu yang hadir di dalam dewan bangunan PMM.

Kanak-kanak Junior 3 menunggu di luar.

Beratur untuk masuk ke Dewan dan di awasi oleh Ms Ann, guru Junior 3.

Ramadan Big Book 2013

As said earlier,  one of the activities in the Ramadan Camp 2013 was to make a big book on Ramadan - one in Bahasa Melayu and the other in English.  This is the English version.  The idea to make this book was inspired by the 'RAMADAN BOOKLET' by 'OWH SO MUSLIM'.  The completed big books were then used for our learning activities in the class.  Through this project, we found that the children can understand and remember the things or activities in  Ramadan.  The other awesome thing was that ~ the children were very proud of their work !  We pray that these learning experiences will strengthen the children's IMAN as they grow up into adults, and become good and practising Muslims.

Fun Things To Do This Eid

1.  Pray Eid solat (Sembahyang Sunat Hari Raya)
Pray Eid solat at the masjid or other areas where solat arrangements have been made.  Open places with lots of attendees are preferred. 

2. Exchange hugs and gifts (right after the solat).
Right after you've prayed your Eid solat, go  hug a stranger at the Masjid.  Show them you're one Ummah, One Family.  Then, once you get home, exchange gifts and hugs with your relatives!

3. Family Time.
Spend some quality time with your family, engaging in halal recreation and activities that help you realise Allah SWT's  favours upon you and connect with one another!

4. Invite neighbours.
What better time than Eid to invite the neighbours over for a feast ?  Open your doors and hearts to one another,  this Eid!

5. Be Patient.
Be kind and merciful to all of  Allah SWT's creation and do your best  to make things better for other people and animals.  Give charity, feed some birds or even just smile!

6. Go meet relatives.
Maybe it's finally time to pack your bags and go meet those relatives that haven't been able to come and meet you for Eid!

7. Chill out at the Masjid.
Check out your local masjid or Islamic center and attend any upcoming events!
