Junior 2 - Flowers

A walk in the school garden today - to see the different flowering plants.  They learned to name the different parts of the plants, collected some flowers and make closer observations in the class.  They later drew the flowers and labeled the drawings.

MILO ICE

In the theme ''WATER",  the children made 'milo ice' to learn the properties of water.  They poured milo into plastic tubes which were later kept in the freezer.  

The ingredients : milk, sugar & milo.

SEEDS

In the theme 'PLANTS', some of the activities carried out were :

1.  Germination Studies of Green Bean Seeds

2.  Seeds Party

Most children brought edible seeds for the party.  Each child brought a different kind of seed to share with their friends.

3.  Green Beans Porridge
The teacher made some green bean seeds into a soup. 

4.  Quantifying the numbers and grouping the seeds
