Visit To Petroleum Museum

Miri became a city on 20 May 2005.  This year is the 10th anniversary of Miri City Day.  In conjunction with this event, we did a theme on Miri City.  The children made an excursion to the Petroleum Museum to learn the history of Miri development from a small fishing village to a city now and the discovery of oil in Miri.
\

The history of Miri development is depicted on the murals at the base of  'The Grand Old Lady - first spot where oil was drilled.

The children learned how oil is drilled, the various drilling methods, how oil is refined and the various products from oil.

Astana Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day is on Saturday, 16 May 2015.
Teaching is a noble profession. In the kindergarten, teachers taught the children from learning to write, read, count, to hold a pencil, to turn a page of a book, etc   and ......  to toilet train,  to clean and teach the children to put on their underwear after going to the bathroom, to put on their shoes, to eat, to socialize.......  to prepare them for primary school, and ......  the list is endless!

So, may Allah SWT bless and reward ALL THE TEACHERS in the world for teaching the children, for their patience, dedication, commitment and sacrifices they made!   May Allah SWT bless all the teachings and knowledge given to the children.

Jazakumullahu khairan, thank you to all parents for the kindness and for your thoughts to all the teachers of Tadika Astana.  Thank you for your gifts !
